Birgit trained at the prestigious University of Vienna which is renowned for its psychotherapy pedigree. She has worked internationally (New Zealand, Austria and UK) and has resided in the UK since 2005. Birgit is an extensively experienced chartered and consultant clinical psychologist and psychotherapist.

Birgit has worked at the Universities of Vienna and Auckland in research on family interventions and psychological treatment. She has worked clinically across many settings (outpatient and inpatient) across the spectrum of mental health difficulties. Birgit is a registered member of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), and a Chartered member of the British Psychological Society (BPS). Birgit is trained in multiple modalities of psychological treatments such Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Psychodynamic Therapy.

​Birgit is fluent in both English and German and offers in-person appointments at her clinic in Wilmslow, Cheshire and remotely. Birgit accepts self funding patients and members of Bupa, Vitality Health and Aviva Health insurance policies.
