Leanne is a highly skilled, experienced and registered Systemic Family and Couple Psychotherapist. Leanne gained her Masters in systemic training at the University of Derby where she was chosen to receive the Derbyshire Association of Family Therapy award for her work and practice.
Leanne is an associate for Taylor-Awenat alongside her employment as a Systemic Family Therapist and Supervisor in a Tier 3 Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS). Within this role she has led on the systemic assessment and treatment of complex mental health concerns that impact relationships, daily life and overall family functioning.
Leanne has significant experience working with couples, families and children who are experiencing difficulties and challenges in their relationships at all stages of the life cycle. Her work has supported couples, families, children and adults to communicate better with each other, to understand and resolve differences, to adapt to changes and to effectively manage conflict. Leanne has considerable practice experience working systemically with neurodevelopmental issues such as Autism and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, both diagnosed and pre-diagnosis. Leanne has a particular interest in working with a couple/families’ strengths and the co-creation of self-sustainability in the couple/family unit.
