Dr Cath Norman is a skilled and experienced clinical psychologist. Her areas of focus include trauma, anxiety, particularly anxiety related to physical health conditions, preparation for procedures and operations, behavioural difficulties and sleep difficulties.
Having qualified as a Clinical Psychologist in 2013, Cath worked in an NHS paediatric setting offering support to children, young people and their caregivers. Working in settings such as paediatric intensive care, cardiology and rheumatology, Cath is experienced in providing care to both adults and children. Cath worked within several NHS staff teams, regularly teaching, supporting and providing supervision to Clinical Psychologists and other NHS colleagues.
Cath draws upon a number of psychological approaches when working with individuals, including cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), compassion-focussed therapy (CFT) and she is a training therapist in eye-movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.
Cath offers online-only appointments and accepts WPA and Cigna insured clients as well as those who are self funding.
